Greetings from Reisjärvi! The snow is gone, but that means the trail running season continues. We are already looking forward to next summer and the 2026 Peura Trail, about which we have a lot of new and exciting things to tell you:
New date! First of all, a new event date to mark on your calendars. The Peura Trail will be run in the peak conditions of early summer. Saturday, June 6, 2026.
”Should the Peura Trail be a 100-kilometer journey?” Well, absolutely! We can't remember who came up with the idea, but it's true now: This year's new trip is 102 km ultra called The Merciless Land of the Heart! The route consists of two 51 km loops. Longer, wilder, more wonderful.
Juuso Simpanen to the Deer Trail! Who would be the most famous trail runner in Finland and would he join the Peura Trail? As a result of this reflection, we asked the Peura Trail Juuso Simpa. Juusohan got excited and will participate in the 102 km trip next summer.
Training program available! Juuso is not only a successful trail runner, but also an experienced coach. He has prepared a guide for all Peura Trail trips. coaching programs and in support of them instructions for strength training and body care. You can purchase the program when you register or separately later.
Deer Trail app! The training program is used by Ville's own coded Peura Trail. with the application, which can be downloaded to your phone from the app store. The app also has a discussion forum where you can exchange news with other users.
Take over the 3 Kreisä social media channels! You can follow trail running influencers preparing for the Peura Trail on Instagram and Facebook. There is currently a naming contest for our new Peura mascot.
Are there any exercise benefits left for this year? You still have time to register for Peura Trail and pay for participation with this year's sports benefits (Epassi, Smartum, Edenred).
