The departure takes place from the parking lot of the Kuivajärvi rental cabin. The path along the shore offers beautiful views of Kuivajärvi.
The route runs from the base between Kuivajärvi and Iso Kotajärvi, over the Kirves-Heikki Canal, and then turns north.
You will pass a quiet hut renovated from an old tar burner's hut. In the hilly terrain you will come across three wilderness lakes, Särysjärvi, Ahveroinen and Saarijärvi, after which the route joins the 6 km route.
