37 km – Hurja Harjuntakanen

The departure point is at Kuivajärvi and the beginning of the route coincides with the 23 km route. At Poskeinen, the route diverges from Peuranpolku and heads towards the Suurijärvi hiking trail on the Pihtipudaa side.

The transition to Suurijärvi is varied in both landscape and terrain. One of the most beautiful spots is the boardwalks along the banks of Raja-Käyränen, located on the border of Reisjärvi and Pihtiputaa municipalities.

You will enjoy the wider bottom of the old forest road for a while. After that, the narrow and technical trails of the Suurijärvi area await.

The route goes around Lake Suurijärvi, on the shore of which there is also a new cabin with a sauna. On the north side of Lake Suurijärvi, you cross a beautiful bridge, where you would like to stay and enjoy the beauty of the wilderness.

On the way back to Peuranpolku, you will follow the varied trails of the eastern edge of the Suurijärvi hiking trail. The trail returns to Poskeinen, where it joins the 23 km trail.

Demandingness
The route is mainly technical, rocky and narrow. A few sections of forest road and tree stumps provide relief. The hills are small and quite gentle. The terrain eases slightly for the last 6 kilometers.
